About Me

My photo
DooWopMusicMan
This is Lou The Doo Wop Musicman! Born in the Bronx N.Y. in 1942. My family moved to Forest Hills Queens N.Y. in 1954. I was there right form the beginning of what was called R&B. I was fortunate to be able to go to just about every Rock 'n' Roll show in the New York area. I remember listing to Allen Freed, Jocko Henderson,Symphony Sid, The Bruce,Murray The 'K',Cousin Bruce. Allen Freed (www.allenfreed.com) coined the phrase Rock 'n' 'Roll. Don't know who was first to call it Doo Wop, but that's what I like to call it.It's my music, The music I love and know will never die! Like the song says Rock 'n' Roll is here to stay! Feel free to post and share some memories. Post up coming concerts, doo wop cruises, links, etc. It may be my blog but I want it to be for everyone who loves Doo Wop!! Enjoy the music!!
